FAQs
What are your Covid-19 policies?
The majority of services are being conducted as virtual sessions, utilizing a safe, secure, HIPAA compliant platform for the foreseeable future. In-person sessions are negotiated on a case-by-case basis and we ask that all clients wear a high quality (KF94, KN95, N95) when in office. Clients will not be booked back-to-back and an air purifier will be running before, during, and after sessions.
How do I begin?
Fill out the contact form and we will be in touch to schedule a free 20-minute phone consultation. We will discuss what concerns you want to address in therapy, therapeutic styles and compatibility, costs, and scheduling before determining if you will be a good fit for the practice. If no current slots are available you can ask to be placed on a waiting list.
Can I use my insurance to pay for therapy?
Embodyed Therapy currently accepts Aetna plans. For those with Aetna insurance, you are responsible for any cost including co-payments, services not covered through insurance, and fees due to cancellations. If your plan has a deductible, you are responsible for the full in-network rate until you reach the deductible. After that, you pay a percentage of the in-network rate based on your plan.
Clients with other insurance providers may be able to be reimbursed for mental health services. It is your responsibility to check with your insurance provider to inquire about what out-of-network services are covered. We will provide a monthly invoice for you to submit for reimbursement if necessary.
What type of therapy do you practice?
At Embodyed Therapy, we have an eclectic approach that relies heavily on theories and techniques of insight-oriented, relational, and feminist psychotherapy (talk therapy).
Where are you located?
Embodyed Therapy is on a residential block in the Overbrook neighborhood of Philadelphia. The practice is located on the basement level of 645 Kenmore Road, Philadelphia, PA 19151. The entrance for the practice is located on Harlan Street.
Embodyed Therapy is accessible by car, train, trolley, and bus.
